It’s hard to watch our political leaders push our environment to the back of their agenda. Continuous speak about how precious our wildlife is here in Australia, but with little action being taken to save it from the harm we are inflicting upon it. In 2021 Australia ranked 24th out of 61 countries in the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI), we are continuously at the bottom of the list. Really, our efforts as individuals mean very little if we are not all actively working towards the same goal, the Australian Government has the power to change this. Their lack of support in this sector shows a privilege and ignorance that is suffocating to see, I feel more small and helpless than ever.
