Head Editor: Nahum Gale
Hey! Hi! Hello! My name is Nahum (he/him) and I am so proud to say I am your 2021 Head Editor for Verse Magazine! Being a midyear student, in 2021, I find myself jumping between my third and fourth year of my double degree: a Bachelor of Journalism and Professional Writing with a Bachelor of Arts for English and Creative Writing.
A bit about me… well, I snap shots, pen poetry and blast Bowie. In the past, I have had a few cool experiences in media, working with Radio Adelaide and Global Hobo… but that is just how I have chosen to express myself.
This year is about you and how you are wanting to express who you are. And I am here to help every step of the way! Catch me at Magill Campus or send me a message, I would love to help you find your artistic expression in Verse 2021! Till then, stay groovy.
Graphic Designer: Nikki Sztolc
Hi, I’m Nikki (she/her) and I’m so excited to be the Graphic Designer for Verse in 2021!
I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Creative Industries, majoring in Digital Media and Communication and Media. In my spare time I’m usually dreaming of living in London, watching The Amazing Race (Canadian version is superior) or starting a new side project. Please note: I will happily chat about movies or typography for days and can be bribed with iced coffee.
I can’t wait to help curate some brand spankin’ new content for you all throughout the year and make this magazine the dreamiest student mag ever.
Comms and Digital Editor: Stephanie Montatore
Hi! I’m Steph (she/her) and am delighted to say I am your Comms and Digital Editor for 2021!
I’m currently studying a bachelor of Communication and Media, sub-majoring in Marketing, and am absolutely loving it! When I’m not hanging out at the Magill and City West campus’ I love to take pictures, play with makeup and write poetry. For the last few years I have been putting all my love into a book of poems I hope to publish sometime soon. You may have even seen some of them in previous editions of Verse!
Other notable interests include attempting to find every easter egg in Taylor Swift’s music videos, talking about astrology with anyone willing to listen, and blasting one of my 491 Spotify playlists (I wish I were joking).
Most importantly though – I love people. Nothing inspires me more than passionate people, so I cannot wait to get to know all your lovely faces and see the beautiful work you have in store for this upcoming year!
