On the cusp of Millennials and Gen Z, 23-year-old Chloe delves into the fears and anxieties of the youngest generation in university today.
Each generation faces many unique fears from robots taking over jobs, to avocado anxiety. For Gen Z, growing up in a completely digital age comes with its own benefits and disadvantages. Gen Z came after the Millennials and, depending on which expert you cite, were born from 1997. The oldest of this generation are now in university, or joining the workforce. So, we must ask ourselves…what do Gen Z secretly fear?

- Paying full price for a Spotify subscription because your student ID expired
- Someone calling without texting first
- Bad lighting for your brunch photos
- Too many people on your shared Netflix account to watch
- The HECS repayment threshold regularly dropping
- Renting forever
- Losing an hour on social media when checking one notification
- Answering the door when you’re not expecting someone
- Manoeuvring into tight car parking spots
- Killing your indoor plants
- Moving in with a person you find on the Internet
- Repressive sexual labels
- Mental health support services not improving
- Trusting politicians to act for our interests
- Missing out, especially on what happens online
- An increasingly casualised workforce
- Your Snapchat images existing past their expiration
- The end of human civilization by 2050
