Love the smell of petrol and burnt rubber? Love the low rumble of a V8? Then the Clipsal 500 2011 is not an event to be missed.
With so many things happening in Adelaide in March, the Clipsal 500 2010 was a perfect way to cap it off. Four days of cars, air shows and concerts … why would you not want to go?
Last year 270,000 people attended the Clipsal 500, and crowds didn’t disappoint again this year, coming very close to the same attendance record.
Not only were there fast cars to entertain the thousands, the sky was also alive. The six Roulettes wowed the crowds with their sky aerobatics, and the F-18 Hornet blasted our eardrums with its ‘faster than the speed of sound’ demonstration.
At night there was also plenty of entertainment with four concerts diverting the attention from the track. Artists such as Eskimo Joe, Hilltop Hoods, Shannon Noll and Status Quo took to the stage to entertain the fans.
The favourite Adelaide Sky Show also came back on Saturday night and lived up to its name. Check out more from the classic event here.
If you’re thinking about going next year, my advice: do not miss out. It’s four days of action that people from all over the world flock to Adelaide to experience.
