Elliot John Gleave, or Example because of his initials EG, is an English singer and rapper with a boyish personality and a southern English accent. Playing in the Shadows is Example’s third album after his breakthrough second album Won’t Go Quietly. Playing in the Shadows has a more dark and trancey sound than his previous albums, with song themes of drugs, generation Y and broken relationships. This album has a combination of dubstep, rap and dance elements, with dance anthems like ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’, piano ballad ‘Lying To Yourself’, and electro-rap hits like ‘Midnight Run’.
If you loved his second album, you will love this album just as much!
