by KARA JOHNSON
Private Dancer is an extremely intriguing novel that is based on the red light district in Bangkok, Thailand. It involves drugs, alcohol, sex, love, stripping, prostitution, money based conquests and murder.
The book does not contain chapters, it goes through a series of events that occur to a London man who is based in Bangkok and writing a travel book. It is told by various characters which gives the story more depth and a greater insight into the attitudes/opinions of all the characters and the Thai “bar girl” scene.
This book is extremely engrossing, especially whilst flying back from Thailand. While it is not sold in Australian bookstores, a quick Google search of the book title will provide details on how to obtain it, and it’s worth every penny I promise!
