Senna combines artfully spliced footage and well directed commentary to deliver a birdseye view into the short but exhilarating life of mythical Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna.
Sports fans and flunks alike will enjoy this passionate doco and its insight into the brilliance of Senna, the politics of Formula 1’s titan era, and the view behind the wheel of a 300 horsepower F1 rocket at full throttle.
The footage collected is breathtaking and frequently leaves you on the edge-of-your seat, with cameos from Proust, Mansell, Lauda, Schumacher and a fledgling Rubens Barrichello.
Adelaide viewers won’t be able to help regretting the loss of the Formula 1 Grand Prix to Victoria, particularly when footage of the final Adelaide race is highlighted in this great doco. Not to be missed.
