Grab a pair of sneakers and join the ‘Walk for Justice’ this May!
The Adelaide Walk for Justice 2010, will be held on May 17th to raise much needed funds for JusticeNet SA. JusticeNet SA, is an organisation set up with the aim of connecting people who cannot access the system, with lawyers in Adelaide who will act for them in a pro bono capacity.
The walk consists of a 5km route, winding around the city centre. It will kick off at Victoria Square at 7:30am and take a scenic route down along the Torrens, making its way back to the Hilton Hotel for a light breakfast. This year there will be prizes for participants in the event, and an opportunity to mix with other members of the legal profession.
The Walk for Justice will be held simultaneously in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The walk is looking very promising this year, with members of the Judiciary, law firms, chambers, community legal centres and students getting involved.
The walk is not only important for funding, but will raise awareness about the importance of the organisation within the South Australian Legal System, and access to justice issues.
This year please join Chief Justice, John Doyle AC QC to show your support for pro bono legal services in South Australia. For more information or to register online, visit JusticeNet here
