Help out those who are stuck in the cycle of poverty by supporting those on a cycle! UniLife’s Sohbet Society for Human Rights are hosting a fundraiser to raise money for the Macro for Micro Australian Cycling Tour! Four Canadian cyclists riding from Sydney to Perth in the name of Microfinance – a sustainable business approach for effectively ending poverty. And you can help!
The City West Campus will play host to the Macro for Micro team on April 8th, thanks to the awesome work of the Sohbet Society for Human Rights!
It all kicks off at 11am with a free talk from the Macro for Micro team on microfinance, and how it can alleviate poverty, plus a BBQ and some pretty impressive prizes are up for grabs just for donating to their cause.
And why wouldn’t you? With tickets only $1 each in their massive raffle, you could win yourself a Blackberry, a $300 Gloria Jeans gift basket, a bungee jumping adventure and a whole heap more. Plus, a very generous donor has pledged to match every dollar up to $1500 on the day. Absolute bargain to help out those in poverty.
So get down to City West between 11.00 and 2.00 Thursday April 8, and help out the Macro for Micro team!
Check out the facebook for more details or find out more about the Macro for Micro team.
